Alpha Lipoic Acid(ALA) + Glutathione(GSH) as an Effective Skin Whitening Agent

Alpha Lipoic Acid is one of the most effective antioxidant, and is a GSH regenerator.

Everyday, we are bombarded with free radicals. Our whole body including our DNA, is under daily attack from various pollutants in our environment and from our lifestyle. When these free radicals hits our cells, this process is called oxidation. They damage our cells. That’s where anti-oxidants come in. These include nutrients and vitamins that target the free radicals in our system.

Vegetables and fruits are a good source of these anti-oxidants, although our body also produces some of these anti-oxidants. Their primary goal is to limit or minimize the damage to our cells, which can results in preventing diseases and anti-aging too.

Now comes Alpha Lipoic Acid, or better known as ALA. Our body produces this but in small quantities. We can get more of them from the food that we eat, and some of the ALA food sources include organ meats and red meat(grass-fed).

ALA and glutathione(GSH) are great anti-oxidants that helps get rid of toxins and prevents damage of our cells. ALA also assists in production of energy for our body, and helps in the production of GSH. It also recycles Vitamin E, C and co-enzyme Q10. These molecules sync and work together. It is also both fat and water-soluble, which is a unique trait compared to the other antioxidant agents.

Alpha Lipoic acid offers a number of benefits, although it is best if you consult with your doctor or a professional first. This is also a useful substance in the treatment of Hepatitis C. Do note that standard care during treatments should not be replaced with ALA usage for any conditions.

1) Peripheral Neuropathy

The Peripheral nerves transport vital information from and to different parts of the body, to our spinal cord, and to our brain. This peripheral neuropathy means some of these nerves have some problems – they properly don’t work. A single nerve or a group of nerves may be damaged.

Some symptoms are :

  • burning sensation
  • pain
  • tingling
  • weakness
  • itching
  • numbness

ALA, since it can work both in fatty and water tissues, can enter to all parts of our nerve cells and prevent it from being damaged(or minimize it).

Brain Function

ALA protects the nerve tissues in our brain. It can do this since it can pass through the tiny vessels(our brain barriers), and can pass easily inside them.

It is of the most effective antioxidant that destroys the free radicals, which contributes to chronic illness and aging.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a precursor in glutathione production. Products that have ALA can help in whitening and lightening of the skin.

Importance of Finding a Registered/License Nurse to Administer the IV

If you are bold and don’t mind poking yourself, then great for you!

Administering it through IV(Intravenous) delivers the best result since it goes directly to the blood. IM(Intermuscular) injections may be safer but have irregular absorption.

First, try your friends network. A friend of a friend may be able to help you out. If you can’t find any, then you have to find through other means. Try naturopathic centers in your area. If you are in the Philippines, there are also a lot of registered nurse that can administer the shots. Just ask around – you can first try at salons, and still if you can’t find any, derm clinics are your best shot. A popular one here in the Philippines are belo clinis, and they have their own stocks of gluta.

If you are outside Philippines, do note that the nurses willing to do IV are taking risks. Legal issues are real if patiens have violent reactions with the package especially if it is not in a professional way inside a hospital or clinic. Doing it in a clinic is also much more expensive. A lot of nurses also don’t wanna be liable especially if the product is from overseas and they have no idea where it actually came from and what is actually in it.

In New Zealand too, you may find it hard to buy syringe needles.
